Mumbai
based LanBit Networks had launched a range of MIMO products.
The product range includes Access Point, PCI & PCMCIA
adapters.
In
radio communications, MIMO means multiple-input multiple-output,
a technique of data transmission using multiple analog signal
paths. MIMO is a technique for boosting wireless bandwidth
and range by taking advantage of multiplexing. MIMO, as
used by the expected 802.11n standard, will offer up to
eight times the coverage, and up to six times the speed,
of current Wi-Fi networks.
In
normal Wireless Networks, the main issue is the line of
sight. If there is any obstacle between the transmitting
and receiving station, it is difficult to establish the
wireless connectivity. MIMO products use the latest OFDM
technology, providing better coverage than Wi-fi products.
"We
have more than 40 active distributors across the country.
We not only believe in selling our products but also believe

have also priced our products reasonably because of the
high competition in the market" he adds.
